Better late than never, no?

I have to say it: I still can't believe 2012 is over!
I wanted a few big goals for the year: not Impossible, Big but Big-Idea Big.
So here's my plan:
1. Simplify: This may seem funny, having just read a really over-the-top-detailed script typeface saying it, but I want to simplify things this year. We're hoping to move (my Bulgarian fortune this year was ''house'' - yay!) into a purchased home of our own, and I hope to purge and organize and get rid of all the stuff we don't use in the move. I love moving for that. I want to regularly go through my closet, like I do - but all the other odds and ends, too. Even so little as to limit the amount of stuff in my purse and unsubscribing from junk e-mail til my inbox is naked.
I just want less clutter in all areas of my life.
Just necessary or beautiful goodness.
2. Slow: This is kind of a (dare I say) trendy resolution this year - lol. For reals. Have you heard about the slow (blogging) movement? If you know me in real life, I probably seem stressed, cuz I'm usually in some work/school/homework frenzy these days. But I work hard and, just the opposite (when I can) relax hard. We're talking either I don't think about or do anything for periods, or I do everything all at once. lol. I need to spread it out a bit to make the busy times slower and vice versa. I like to think not having a cell phone already makes me live more in the moment (like when I'm sitting on the bus looking out the window or at a concert or something), but I can more. It's really interesting stuff, slow!
Now that I said all that stuff about simplifying and slowing down, I'm going to say that I'll probably have some sort of 'goals' list of smaller creative/personal stuff I want to get done this year: and I do need a list, or the year just flies by and nothing gets done. lol. I can't function without lists! Lets call this list a way of simplifying that stuff that's constantly floating in my head with an 'I-need-to-do' thought bubble next to it.
And I already learned some new things this year: how to apply liquid eyeliner with a little wingtip (yeah, I should know this...lol), and that you shouldn't go from only-ever flats to stilettos in a few mere hours, which made dancing and walking home from the New Years party we went to pretty impossible, but it was an awesome time nontheless. :) lol.
What are you resolving to do this year?

holy crap. your goals are too funny :) only because they are essentially the same as mine. and i NEVER make resolutions, EVER. i can totally feel ya on the do it ALL at once or for a period... or do NOTHING for awhile. the simplify part is HUGE for me too. i've already started purging and it is truly freeing! the slow part for me is more of a "take it slow, be more consistent and stop with the manic behavior" kind of thing. well, good luck with your goals for the year :) i'll be cheering for you!
